Even though the general public felt sad on the news of the dead of 29-year old Iranian conjoined sisters Ladan and Laleh during a separation surgery in Singapore, the news brought a windfall to 4D punters in the country.

These punters got their inspiration from the ages of the demised sisters to place their bet in 2929 and its related numbers. It turned out that a permuted number of 2929 was drawn as Toto 4D 1st prize winning number for Wednesday's draw (9/7/03). Even though the winning number drawn is a permuted number of 2929, many made a small fortune from this number.

It is believed that there would be more winners if 2929 were drawn as the 1st prize 4D winning number for that particular draw.

Even though the surgery of the Iranian sisters was conducted in Singapore, the issue had been the talk of town following a wide coverage by local newspapers.
