Sports Toto Malaysia held an event entitle
"Celebrating Toto's Changes" to celebrate the special
recognition given by the Malaysia Book of Record and the
unveiling of Sports Toto's new outlet signboard.
Sports Toto Malaysia received the special recognition
from the Malaysia Book of Record for the highest jackpot
ever won in Malaysia at RM19.3 million on 05 January
2008 through its lotto game Mega Toto 6/52. Datuk Danny
Ooi, Managing Director of the Malaysia Book of Record
present the certificate of recognition to Mr Vincent
Seow, Executive Director of Sports Toto Malaysia at the
event.
The new signboard is part of the company's effort to
bring a sense of rejuvenation and revitalization to
Sports Toto Malaysia's brand identity as well as in
keeping with the time. The work to change all the old
Toto outlet signboard throughout the country will be
complete in the middle of April 2008.
Meanwhile, Toto Bird, the company's brand
personality, is tasked with the mission of connecting
with people from all walks of life especially in respect
of the recreational part of their lives.
Incorporated in 1969, Sports Toto Malaysia adheres to
the highest level of business integrity. The company is
adopting the most comprehensive measures as well as
sophisticated and certified equipment to conduct its
draws, ensuring that the draws are conducted in the most
transparent manner.

Q: What are the unique parts of the new outlet
signboard?
A: Basically, the changes made to the
outlet signboard are subtle and not drastic or radical.
The design of the new signboard is nicer. Placing Toto
logo and Toto Bird side by side gives a more refined
look. The overall design is more modern and livelier.
Q: Why does the company need to change the
signboard? What is the cost involved?
A: The main
objective is to strengthen and add value to its existing
brand identity. We must change with the ever-evolving
society. We hope to grow with the customers. This augurs
well with our slogan of "Go for it!" We have spent
million of ringgit for this project.
Q: Please brief us on the latest development of
BToto.
A: We are currently operating 680 outlets
throughout the country and we have now captured 39% of
the market share of the gaming industry. We are
introducing 6 types of Toto games i.e. 3 digit games and
3 lotto games. These games are Toto 4D, 5D, 6D Toto
6/42, Super Toto 6/49 and Mega Toto 6/52.
Q: What is the future development target of
BToto?
A: Being the market leader of number
forecast operators sector in Malaysia, we must not only
maintain the position, but also to futher expand our
market share. We hope to achieve 40% market share this
year. Meanwhile, we will try our best to inrease the
popularity of Toto games.
